What we believe.

We were created by love.

We were created to be loved.

We were created to love.

The Lov Arm3 (pronounced love army) is a group of individuals with a common belief, Love = Life = Love.

The world is broken and for many people Life ≠ Love.

To heal the hurts and fix the broken we must restore balance to the equation by practicing authentic love.

Love is a steadfast commitment to seek the good of others with patience, kindness, humility, and truth. It is a state of being, a deliberate choice to act in ways that reflect God's character, rather than just a fleeting emotion. Love does not mean mere agreement or passive acceptance; it rejoices in truth, does not enable wrongdoing, and endures through difficulties with unwavering faith and hope. True love is not self-seeking but is rooted in selfless devotion and integrity.

What we are told love is:

a feeling

something earned

temporary

how someone makes me feel

happy ever after

What love really is:

a choice

a gift to be given

perseverance

how you treat others

an ongoing commitment

being patient with others

offering kindness

celebrating others

encouraging

life giving

knowing when to allow someone to fail, but being with them and for them when they are ready for help

hurting when others are hurting
anger at injustice

What love is not:

being selfish

prideful

lust

a just feeling

always saying yes

The need for love isn't new, multiple generations have tried to create a love movement including the hippie movement of the 1960's, and the 1990's rave scene. People are searching for real love.

Rave culture created one of the best expressions of love with it's acronym PLUR, which stands for Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect.

Even earlier, Jesus invited us to share in a community where we are called to follow these principles. Said in many different ways but nicely summarized:

John 13: 34-35

"I give you a new commandment. Love each other just as much as I have loved you. For when you demonstrate the same love I have for you by loving one another everybody will know that you're my true followers"
